Hello to anyone who might read this!
I haven't posted since December, so I'll give you a quick, chronological recap of what's been going on by month.
January:
Back to work after Christmas break.
Got ready for my mission trip in Jaco, Costa Rica.
Signed up for courses to get certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach.
I got hit in my car on the way to work and the guy drove off. Terrible experience, but God was with me. Two guys sped up to me in their truck and ran after the guy, got his license plate, and reported back; and there was a sweet woman who pulled up and waited with me for the police to arrive.
Went on the mission trip and built a house in two days, met some amazing people and got to help and connect with a lovely family. I might make a full post about the trip later.
February:
Got back from the mission trip, adjusted back to real life.
Caught up with friends.
Got rear-ended on my way to work.
March:
Struggling through a fresh wave of depression.
Bought a new car.
Filed taxes.
April:
Cajoled the car dealership into keeping their word in the contract by replacing the windshield gasket.
Time spent talking to Safelite, who are incredibly difficult to get ahold of, and coordinating the windshield gasket repair.
Coordinated with my apartment management and the post office for my mailbox key, filling out paperwork and continually checking the office for my mail and updates about my mailing address and key.
Dryer went out and shorted the entire electrical system while I was in the shower on a Sunday. Luckily there was no fire and this was repaired the next day.
And April still isn't over :)
There are several things on this list that are actually ongoing, but this is the shortlist of what's been going on and how I've been procrastinating on posting. Things are hard and sometimes, maybe most of the time, that's life. So I'm grateful that Easter reminded me that life is worth the living just because He lives.
